Back in 2008, Kanye West flirted with the idea of having his own Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO. They made a pilot, but HBO didn’t pick it up. Here, in this unearthed clip, Kanye does his best Larry David. He definitely nails the uncomfortable tension of Curb, but – unfortunately – it doesn’t feel intentional. Via Consequence of Sound:
In fact, Curb Your Enthusiasm executive producer Larry Charles was attached to the project. Ultimately, HBO chose not to pick up the show, because, according to Charles, it was “too hardcore” for the network.
